Chairwoman and CEO, Vanir Group of Companies
Dorene Dominguez is the Chairwoman and CEO of Vanir Group of Companies, Inc. and its subsidiaries Vanir Construction Management, Inc., ranked #24 in the nation by Engineering News-Record, and Vanir Development Company, Inc. The Vanir companies ( www.vanir.com) are national leaders in program, project and, construction management and real estate development. Vanir employs a growing staff of more than 400 talented executives, architects, engineers, construction managers, developers, contractors, and support staff across 17 regional offices located in major U.S. cities.
Ms. Dominguez serves or has served on various corporate boards of publicly traded companies. Currently,she is a director on the CIT Group and CIT Bank NA boards (www.cit.com), and the KB Home board (www.kbhome.com), and is a member of the nominating and corporate governance committee for each company. She is also an active member of the Coca-Cola Hispanic Advisory Council (www.coca-colacompany.com). Composed of distinguished national leaders in the Latino community, the Council advises Coca-Cola senior management on various issues related to its business operations as they impact the Hispanic community. In addition, she became the first Latina to become a governor of the NBA Sacramento Kings (www.nba.com/kings/), and an investor in the Sacramento Republic FC (www.sacrepublicfc.com).
Founder and CEO, Athena Alliance
Coco is a CEO and board member, actively leading Silicon Valley based professional services and tech companies since 1997. In 2016 Coco founded Athena Alliance, a digital platform for learning and agency for the top business women striving for the c-suite and the boardroom. Since founding, Athena has helped over 300 boards, and brought over 400 board interviews to women, supporting over 60 board matches. In 2019 Coco joined the board of ArcherPoint to which she brings her expertise in scaling and diversifying professional services, and from which she is learning a tremendous amount about holacracy and how to run an ESOP based company.
Prior to her current roles, from 2002 to 2012 Coco was President and COO of Taos, a leader in IT professional and managed services servicing hundreds of F1000 and top tier private growth companies nationally. She was also on the board
of Taos for 12 years, leading the company through massive economic cycles and business model evolution and growth.
Chief Equality and Recruiting Officer, Salesforce
Tony Prophet is the Chief Equality and Recruiting Officer at Salesforce. In his role, he guides global recruiting programs with an inclusive lens at every step and works to build a workplace that reflects the diverse communities it serves while furthering Equality for all. His team also leads the Ethical & Humane Use of Technology initiative to ensure our technology not only drives the success of our customers, but also drives positive social change and improves the lives of people around the world. Prophet is a board member of College Track.
Previously, Prophet held senior executive product marketing roles at Microsoft including corporate vice president of Windows Marketing, where he was responsible for Windows and Internet Explorer brands. He was also co-executive sponsor of Blacks at Microsoft and founding executive of BlackLight, an organization empowering Black marketers at Microsoft.
Prior to Microsoft, he led worldwide printing and PC operations for Hewlett Packard; and before that, worldwide operations for Carrier Corporation (a United Technologies Business). Previously, he was also a partner with Booz Allen Hamilton
Throughout his career, Prophet has worked as a champion for human rights and social justice, including protecting the rights of young workers, educating women workers on health issues in developing countries, improving schools for children of migrant workers and addressing the root causes of migratory worker flows. He is also passionate about community service, focusing on ensuring low-income teens get college educations, as well as improving healthcare for children and HIV-positive women in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Prophet holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering from General Motors Institute and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
