Victoria K. Kidman is counsel in State Farm Insurance Company's Legislative and Regulatory Section, based out of the company's Corporate Law West office in Sacramento, California. She currently serves as legislative counsel for California and legislative/regulatory counsel for the state of Washington. Ms. Kidman has also been legislative/regulatory counsel for the states of Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
Ms. Kidman currently serves on the Board of Directors of Leadership California, the California Civil Justice Association, the Association of California Life and Health Insurance Companies, the California Latino Economic Institute and the Washington Liability Reform Coalition. She is also a member of the following committees: Personal Insurance Federation of California, Member Resource; California Chamber of Commerce, Labor and Employment, Taxation and Privacy; and California Bankers Association, State Government Relations.
Before moving to State Farm's Illinois headquarters, Ms. Kidman served as the Managing Attorney for State Farm Insurance Company's Utah Claim Litigation Counsel Office, Victoria K. Kidman & Associates, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to that she established Allstate's first staff counsel office in Utah and served as Lead Counsel. She began her legal career in 1986 at Strong & Hanni, where there and throughout her legal career she has successfully defended numerous cases before a jury.
Ms. Kidman has her CPCU and API designations, is an AV rated attorney in Martindale-Hubble and has been recognized on several occasions as one of Utah's Legal Elite by Utah Business Magazine and her peers. In her spare time, Ms. Kidman volunteers as a Mercy Pedaler connecting one-on-one with men and women experiencing homelessness on the streets of Sacramento.
