Britt Kopping is the Director of Learning Design and Technologies at Genentech, Inc., a biotech company based in South San Francisco, where she oversees the development of the functional trainers and identifies and implements emerging learning and technology trends. In this role, Britt empowers her team to strategically connect training needs to business outcomes and helps deliver training with impact to field team members across the United States.
Britt is known for her strategic skills, her focus on developing others, and building for the future. She brings a strong background in learning and development, holding an MA in Education and Instructional Design, and 13 years of industry experience to her role. She has received several innovator, developer and collaborator awards while working at Genentech and sponsors several internal initiatives in the learning and leadership space.
Britt joined Genentech in 2006 as an Instructional Designer, focused on managed care training for Genentech's access and reimbursement call center. She then transitioned to lead product launches and salesforce training in the Oncology, Neuro and Rare Disease spaces that ultimately led her to her current role.
Prior to Genentech, Britt was a middle school Spanish teacher and prior to that was the Director of Marketing and Programs at the North Carolina World Trade Center.
Britt lives in Pacifica, CA with her husband, Neil, and their two children Jude, 9, and Cash, 7. Outside of work, Britt enjoys cooking, swimming and leading a women's study group in her home.
